Quinta D’Azinheira is set in one of the oldest wine regions in the world, in Baixo Corgo, Santa Marta de Penaguião, at the heart of the Douro Demarcated Region, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

With roots dating back to the 18th century, it remains true to its identity as a family estate, preserving this historical legacy through the care of the land, its way of welcoming guests, and its approach to winemaking.

In 1977, the property was acquired by Acácio Morais Mesquita, a man deeply connected to the Douro, to wine, and to the art of hospitality. A visionary of his time, he devoted himself to restoring its life and authenticity, initiating wine production in the 1990s with a deep respect for the terroir and a commitment to excellence.

Since 2022, the estate has been owned and managed by RWVP Investimentos, who, together with the daughter of the previous owner, Dora Mesquita, continue this journey. Today, with sensitivity, precision, and dedication, the estate preserves its essence, balancing tradition and authenticity with a welcoming and contemporary vision.

Under the motto “Douro Wine & Emotions”, Quinta D’Azinheira is more than a wine producer—it is a home with identity, dedicated to sharing meaningful experiences with those who visit and preserving the authentic spirit of traditional gathering spaces. A warm dining room and a traditional kitchen with a large open fireplace invite guests in on colder days.
